SEN Treatment

Our news show is called South Essex News or as abbreviated SEN. It will consist of the top local stories of the north-south region of England in a 20 minute time slot at 6 o’clock on a main stream channel.

Our news show will begin at the Anchor’s desk where he will read out the stories that will be reported on during the show. These stories are about, Basildon, A Teenager jailed for 21 years, London Southend Airports busiest year, Canvey island sea wall, Southbank skatepark, Train ticket prices and Southend Football’s FA cup draw. After the stories are read out the titles would role.

After the Titles the Anchor will read the introduction to the first story at the desk. This will be the booming Basildon story. The Anchor will say the main points about the story before playing the VT on the story. The VT will go into more detail on the housing plans and developments of the new college campus.

Once returned from the VT the anchor will be standing up by the TV Screen and will read the whole story of Eric Cantona Brophy, and go into detail as to how and why he has been sentenced to 21 years in jail. Once the story is read, still in the same position the anchor will introduce the story about Southend Airports busiest year before playing the matching VT. This will include information as to how many people flew with the airport last year.

Once back in the studio from the VT the anchor will then be sitting at the desk to introduce the Canvey Island Sea Wall story before again, Playing the VT which will have an interview with canvey councillor, Ray Howard.
Once back from the VT the Anchor will be standing at the TV Screen To introduce the weather.  A short interaction will take place between the anchor and the weather presenter before the weather presenter will read the forcast for the next couple of days along with a blue screen image ocumpanying the weather. After the weather the show will come to its mid point add break

After the add break a shortend version of the titles will role. Then the anchor will sit down at the desk and re cap the storys stil to come before reading an introduction to the southbank story. After  the introduction a VT will be shown including interviews from people involved and facts and stats about the long live Southbank campaign

Once back in the studio from that VT the anchor will be standing at the television screen to read the whole story on Southend United. This will go into more detail about its 4th round FA Cup draw and explain the financial gains of the game being televised. This will then be followed directly with the breaking news story. (to be decided on the day)

 Still at the Television screen after the breaking news story the anchor will introduce the story on train ticket price increase. This story will hold quotes from national rail representatives as to what they think about the increase and many facts and figures to help illustrate the rise to viewers. After the introduction has been read the VT with the above information will be shown.

After the VT has finished the Anchor will be sitting at the desk where he will wrap up the show before the credits roll and the show comes to a close.
